You can see similar pre war stairwells at the block of flats just adjacent to Tiong Bahru Market.

To get there, take bus 29 from tampines interchange.keep a lookout for the main gate of commando camp on the left.Once the bus past there ,alight at the next stop. Turn left and walk back along the road to the camp past a old army building.U should come to a T intersection,turn right and walk down the road called Cranwell road till u see the big changi boardwalk sign. TPE goin towards Changi - exit 9 turn left into punggol rd. go straight all the way, u reach a 'S' bend. den straight all the way, u see the sea liao.. there a board read 'Outward Bound'.
