Just wondering...for those who work 5 day week, are they officially entitled to a "holiday" on monday?

I heard some are working (coz they work on Sat) and some are not (civil service?)

What about school? Kids need to go back to school on the coming Monday? Heard no lessons...

Monday is not a public holiday. For holiday that falls on Saturday, the companies that operate 5 days, they can decide whether to close on Monday as replacement, to grant 1 additional day of annual leave to each staffs or just ignore it ...

Similarly for school, they can choose to close on Monday or any other day of their choice as replacement.

If all teachers choose not to go back to school, then the kids will have a holiday on Monday or a fun and free day at school. :bsmilie: :bsmilie:
