Nothing much leh... Some of the major brands are not there... Nikon, Sony etc.... :(

Got photos on the exhibition?
Pls post here.

Just came back from the expo!!! Not much public... will be going back ltr after work... ;p
was there this afternoon too.. very quiet... but did see a roving band of photographers.. nothing much to shoot tho. :bsmilie:

I'm wondering why Nikon isn't participating. Because they don't have the D3 and D300 to show? Because they got scared by Canon's aggressive display of lenses? Hmmmm....

was there this afternoon,i think the sigma one scarier, the green one, like what?1 meter long, half meter diameter?never really take a good look, but looks like some bazzoka

THE WHITE AND LONG LENS IS THERE - THE 1,200 MM by Canon!

Ya, man. Saw the life size lens. Bigger than i thought. Just imagine the lens diameter bigger than 106 motar diameter. :o

It only occupies about half of the hall and even big players like Sony and Nikon are giving this exhibition a miss.

Kudos to Canon for their strong support in most exhibition.

Canon had to maintain leadership by strong marketing mah. Try asking them to keep silent for awhile and u see wat happens. :bsmilie:

Just like Motorola, Nokia, Ericsson.

I asked price with lens and flash, more expensive than outside. Agent have to sell to end user expensively otherwise dealer will complain.

i think Nikon were not there because their latest cameras were not ready to show....

the Canon 1Ds Mk III .......whew.....they had one paired with a 1200mm and another paired with a 600mm tele.....both rigs held up by a killer tripod and head combo.... sweet....

Apart from the high end Canon stuff that was on the show, nothing else was interesting. OK, there was also the macro equipment on the side.

No Nikon, Sony, Olympus, Panasonic and Pentax. Nothing.

The show was highly disappointing, extremely poor compared to IT show. I guess we have too many of these.

PS: The Sigma SD14 has very very disappointing performance. Sigh...

Ya, was there yesterday at 10.30am. Quiet, so have alot of chance to look look see see and test the lenses. Much better than IT show when you have hardly any room to manoevre.

Best part is the photo shoot! Remember to bring your zoom lens, you'll need it!
Here is just one of my many shots:

Oh, forgot to mention that saw the China company JENIS selling third party battery grips for all models (nikon and canon). Tested on my 30D and it works pretty. Cost is $120, claimed to be cheaper than order on line. Unfortunately, did not have cash with me. Later went back and it was sold out as they brought only limited sets. They also sell LCD Hood (about $30 - $50) and cable release ($20).
