hmmz.. I got an innocent question...Why the newspaper never spot/edit/crop it before publishing the photo??
to maintain the "truthfulness" of the situation?? or to maintain photographic "rule" of not cropping and cutting off people at body joints? for composition? or simply cos never spot??
Just wondering...Do newspaper photographs strictly follow an aspect ratio?? If keeping the aspect ratio, cropping the last guard-of-honour out will result in the Crown Prince being cropped off awkwardly.. so is that why they left it as it is?

please lah, it's known that the most senior specialist in the GoH don't need to fix bayonet. as for the monkey face, no comments.
and it's not a diver badge. those guys are military policemen (they wear red peak caps). the badge is the SPDS badge
The 2nd one should be the shortie lor. GOH contigents are normally formed with the tallest guys at the flanks/sides tapering down to the shortest guys in the middle. A much taller guy cannot be standing next to a shortie.
Wah the bayonet is a major boo boo sia. Using SAR21 in parades is not as nice/cool as a M16.
wa...since when SPDS got badge one? Some more used to be only APC that does GOH...
the shortie is there because he is the specialist. the senior specialist's position is always at either end of the contingent.
hmmm... isn't the SPDS from APC?

cropping not editing ah ...The rule is not to edit them to put things that are not there, or take out things that are there, etc... but heavy cropping is done all the time.
