When it comes to taking photographs, are you a "big picture" person, taking in the entire scene, or are you the sort who has a keen eye for detail?

I guess your style of shooting ties in with your personality, does it not?

Edit: Silly me. Can even screw-up answering my own poll. :p I meant to select that I'm more of a "big picture" kind of person/photographer.

sometimes the big picture will enhance the detail, so I'll say "eye for detail"
but it will depend on the composition.

no option for both 'again' ... why must everything be either 'this or that' and not 'this and that'? *sigh*

Sorry. I guess the poll should've been about what is your tendency. It is true that it depends on the situation/scene, how we shoot. But some people have a greater tendency to shoot a scene in its entireity, and some, the details.

What happened?
I am the big picture-ist, but since there is no much big picture to
see and not enough traffic power in order to see such big pictures,
I have to resort to taking small pictures.

Depending on the subject and what message you want to convey to your audience, I will decide to take big or detail, sometimes when the output does not looks right in big picture, I will crop the image to detail.
I guess it's really half half to me.

Not too big, not too small, just enough to fill up the frame with the subject and all the contextual "extras" without other distracting elements.
