Will You be Hung?

Ever dreamt of having your photography works display in a gallery? You can now! As part of TPG's opening, we will be opening out gallery space to allow everyone to come on in with a piece of work that best repersents them as a photographer and hang in it up on our walls. We will accept photographic works in any subject (within limits of good tastes of course!) in A4, Super 8R or 8R size.

We will then invite a panel of judges at the end of the two weeks period to choose the best 10 works which will then be featured in the "Best of the Hung" serios in TPG

Interested? All you have to do, is to bring your photographs to our gallery @ MITA building from 6th Aug - 20th Aug, 12pm-7pm excluding tuesdays and sundays.

I spoke with them and they mentioned that photos are not suppose to be mounted. All you have to do is bring the photo to the gallery on the 6th (tomorrow) and they will have a form for you to fill. Prints can only be on A4 or S8R size. Maximum number of photo per participant is 2.

Well, there's been quite a fair bit of enquiries, so here's more details on this event....

The "Will you be Hung " event is from Aug 6 - Aug 20 held at The Photographers' Gallery. Basically, for this event we are opening our gallery to allow photography enthusiasts to submit a piece of their work to the gallery and hang it on our walls as part of our endeavor to promote the appreciation of photography in Singapore. You can submit pictures of any subject. The only condition is that your photo print be either 8R, Super 8R or A4 size. You do not need to frame up the picture, we will be providing blue tack to allow you to hang up your pictures on our gallery walls. To provide an opportunity to allow as many people to participate in the event as possible, we are limiting one submission print per person. During this period, the gallery is opened to the public for everyone to come in and enjoy and look at the various different genres of pictures that are submitted and displayed on the walls.

At August 21, 4pm we will be having a public judging with a panel of judges who will pick up the best 10 submitted photography entries from the walls and the winners will then be showcased in an upcoming exhibition at our gallery that will be dedicated to the "Best of the Hung Series".

All works submitted , will be returned to the owners and remains the property of the photographers upon the completion of the event. Hope this gives you further insight into the "Will you be Hung" event.
