why lines on lcd screen ?

hi,

i went to the motorswhow and took some shots with a sony compact digital.
i noticed that when shooting the cars, some vertical lines run from the top to botton of the lcd screen.... this occurs only when under bright spoy lights used in the show.

but funny thing is that although those lines appear on the screen, when i review the pictures, there were no lines.....

is my lcd screen spoilt or it this normal when lcd screen of camera is under bright spot lights?

its normal, i have this too when i use digicams like the canon G2

wow heng ah... lucky me..... i still thought my lcd something wrong.....

any idea what this is due to ?

is it due to the super high intensity of the spot lights?

i glance over at another person's digital cam and saw his screen dun have these lines... i was super worried my lcd on the camera was faulty... hee hee...

read the manual, its stated there i think, sorry i long sold my digicam away.
