which one is better?

ok at first wanted to get a dslr but thought if im not interested at the end of the day won't i be wasting bit of money. so decided to buy digital camera.

i have shortlisted 2 nikon coolpix L100 and P90

the main difference i see is the optical zoom, focal, and megapixels (p90 has the advantage)

L100 is about 120 cheaper. so which one will be more "WU HUA"

and any other brand model digital camera to recommend?

There`s always the $170 or less Panasonic LZ8. Uses AA batteries, Leica lens, video recording and so on.

i would choose p90 because

1.faster lens(f2.8-f5.0)
2.electronic viewfinder
3.vari-angle lcd
4.24xoptical zoom

but i will prefer those with bit more optical zoom

Both are fine. Depending if you want to use proprietary batteries or AA batteries.
