Good experiences with Seagate and Hitachi so far.
I stay away from WD. My 80-gig died on me and when I checked the warranty online, it was only till Feb 2006 whereas I bought it in Aug(?) 2003. Six months warranty vanished. When I called solectron here, they said they can't do anything, the HDD may have been sitting in some warehouse for 6 mo.
I spoke to Fuwell at Sim Lim and they say they don't stock WD any more because of some warranty problems.
WD sux. Will never buy them again.
