hmm... budget?
Any suggestions?
I have Vios and Lancer GLX (<$60k) in mind but I'd like to see comments on Latio and City also.
What's a cheap/good/fuel efficient sedan car to buy?
Answer: TAXI.
heheh sorry I just can't help it...that's my solution in the end so long as I remain in Singapore.
Vios, City & Jazz quite fuel efficient. But I would suggest taking public transport if possible as the raise in oil prices & ERPs will kill you. Besides taking public transport will cut down on pollution & save our ailing Earth.
go for hybrid or CNG I'm contemplating on that if I managed to get that job that pays my car. eyeing the Civic Hybrid actually.. hate the looks of the priusVios, City & Jazz quite fuel efficient. That's what I'm using now.. ;p But sometimes difficult to get one and quite a hassle especially when bringing baby around..
Any suggestions?

For me I would prefer a Altis/Vios/Lancer as I don't really like Honda cars. If you want cheaper cars, consider the Korean or China made ones. But be prepared to sacrifice some quality & features.
at 55K, a jazz/fit is super fuel efficient hitting like 14 - 15km/l but the boot space is pathetic. so if you have lots of baby SOP to lug around (pram, milk bottle, bags, diapers, etc..) you will easily fill the rear seat and tiny boot.
I would put it into a cheap mit lancer 1.6 ~47K it can hit about ~12-13km/l if you're not heavy footed but with a $15K savings from the jazz.. it'll go a long way.
I have bad experience with nissan and mazda with very bad FC.

well said, i also love to have a car but am still working out my sums if it is really something which i want to such that i am willing to give up my other wants, such as traveling 2 or 3 times a year, buying a luxury watch, every 2 year or so.....spending the rest of my $$$ on my boy....etc..
end of the day, it is still a temptation...
Sigh... I don't know too.. I haven't really went through the sums yet, but I am just wondering if the convenience (is having a car really more convenient?) is worth the money.. :dunno: I have a 6 month old boy and I find that sometimes it can be difficult to get a cab. Then again, having a car may have other sets of problems like parking..... :dunno:
