What would your picture look like if there is Chromatic aberration?

Is it the same as corner softness?

Does it mean your center is sharp but your sides and corners are blur? Or the whole picture is blur?:think:

C.A. should means Purple Fringe...it happens quite often when doing backlit shots.

i think that means the lens is poorly designed.

whole picture blur could be due to lousy lens or focusing problem.

"Chromatic aberration is visible as color fringing around contrasty edges and occurs more frequently around the edges of the image frame in wide angle shots. "

"Purple Fringing" usually refers to a typical digital camera phenomenon that is caused by the microlenses. In simplified terms purple fringing is "chromatic aberration at microlens level". As a consequence, purple fringing is visible throughout the image frame, unlike normal chromatic aberration.
