We love our manual focus Nikkor lenses!

the noct nikkor no doubt is a legendary performer. But having said that, I guess 4k+ is a little too much to pay unless you like collecting lenses.
In due time, nikon will surely come out with a 1.2 normal lens that will outperform the noct nikkor.
Just look at the 28 1.4D, also using the same hand ground aspherical element that caused its price to go insanely high (still is, even in ebay today) but it has been outperformed optically by the latest 24 1.4 with nano coating. All that for only about 2.8 SGD compared to 4k USD in ebay for the old one.

This is a nice idea to display manual focused with Nikkor lenses. :)

I like these. Lovely use of colors and shallow dept-of-field

Thanks for posting and supporting the thread !

I had the 35 f1.4 ais for a few years. Its a fantastic lens! Using the Nikkor-O Ai'd 35mm f2 as now i desire a more compact and lightweight walkabout set-up.

Thanks Cobalt! will try to dig more old pictures whenever possible since I no longer have those lenses with me now.
Still kinda miss MF ing with these solid old metal lenses though!

Another one by 55mm f/2.8 AIS, took this while I was clearing up my room. :D

My share of MF nikkors :

Introducing the Nikon 24mm PCE
Taken with a D80 then, there was much mechanical incompatibilities
But still a workable lens. But far better compatibility with the current crop of pro camera lineup.

I hate this thread..... potential to burn pocket. BTW does anyone have this terror (58mm f1.2 NOCT)? If you have, please post some poisonous stuff here.
