Hi,

Actually it's not that I need to repair my watch. Just changed the battery of one of my watches and lost a screw. Anyone can can point me in the right direction, i.e. honest watch repairs/service so that I won't get rip off?

Visited a few of those which provide battery changing service but they don't have screws for sale ...

Sheesh; guess I 'screwed' myself for changing the battery ...

Thanks in advance!

There is a watch spare parts shop in the HDB shops located opposite Fu Lu Shou center.....somewhere 2nd or 3rd floor, you need to walk all the way to the back, forgot the name or number of the shop sorry. Walk around.....

But there is a shop there, have so many parts of many brands, even from top high end Rolex models!

Hi ...

You can try this place for a no-frills fix ....

There is an old gentleman running a small watch refurbish / repair shop at the Beach Road army stuff place - same floor. I took my quartz watch (digital / analog) there to remove the movement and clean the glass as it had "fogged" up inside. The agent couldnt do it despite my requests and none of the normal HDB watch dealers wanted to touch it as they deemed it too complicated - afraid that they might not be able to put it back together.

In the end, I took it to the old man and he sorted it on the spot .. (guess thats what 50 years experience is all about - i was talking to him as he was fixing my watch ) Asked him how much and he asked for $4 to buy drinks

Definitely  guy

Just came back from Kian Soon and got 10 screws, each costing $0.80 and the proprietor was very surprised on how I got to know his business! He even told me that he always get orders from those in the watch repair business and should I try to get it done in one of the those stores, they're likely to charge at least $5 per screw, excluding service!

All in all, thanks guys for the input and special thanks to sunfish!

Now my new addition to my collection (which I got it from ebay) is ready to meet the world! :)
