guys, anyone kind enough to tell me abt e effective usage of flashes in photography? i've been using suppressed flash aka natural lighting most of e time, leaving my flash in seclusion.

r there any conditions where flashes r actually a better choice of lighting?

also, does using flash in daylight has any effect on e pics?

thanks alot. =]

The most important in photography is "light". If natural light is not possible, create it. Flash is one of the way to create "artificial light".

In daylight, we use flash for fill-in light. Try yourself for the effect.

Arto.

If your camera have flash exposure compensation, try fiddling with it. It will increase/reduce the flash exposure and you can balance the flash with the ambient light to make the exposure looks more pleasing.

I like to use flash as fill light, particularly in situations where the background is brighter than the subject.

i use bounce flash when shooting indoors esp when the lighting of the room is not sufficient..
