Vladimir Putin Orders Test Of Combat Readiness Of Troops In Central, Western Russia

Putin makes his move on Ukraine. He knows US cannot do anything. Obama is so weak, he wanted to ask Congress for permission to send a few planes to bomb Assad one time; and Congress was going to reject it.

Putin knows that EU is scared of him.

Of coz, we will never allow anyone to just march into our land just like that

Can be a terrible mistake by Putin. Turkey is now concerned over the fate of the 300,000 Tartars who are Muslims in Crimea. If the whole thing is portrayed as Russia persecuting Muslims in Ukraine, then Islamic mullahs in the more extremist places can call for world wide Islamic Jihad against Russia. Then Putin would have stirred a hornet's nest.

Canada, Czech Republic, Republic of Lithuania, Republic of Poland, United Kingdom have recalled or are planning to recall back their ambassador to the Russian Federation. The Federation Council (upper house of the Federal Assembly of Russia) in Kremlin is also demanding to Vladimir Putin that their ambassador be recalled immediately from the United States of America. Europe may be on the brink of imminent war on such a scale not seen since the Warsaw Pact invasion of Czechoslovakia in 1968 and the 1992 to 1995 Bosnian War, hopefully these is all just a really severe episode of sabre rattling that will soon come to pass since this is not something the fragible world economy especially can afford to have.

I hope Princess Carrie Fisher is safe.

oh oo.... What is China action on this?
Communist Party of China (CPC) is watching a free show with popcorn in hand since these tense circumstances unfolding is not within their sphere of influence though they did issue a symbolic statement condemning the violence, calling all parties involved to comply with international agreements / laws while emphasis should be directed towards focusing on attempts to resolve this domestic crisis peacefully through more open dialogues and negotiations on the basis of international relations instead thus in order to safeguard peace and stability in the region while also respecting the legitimate rights of the Ukrainian people of all ethnics.

Oh, as always they also played the card on their principle of non-interference in domestic affairs which other sovereign nations should follow.

Another small country just got screwed by the big boys.

Lessons for other nations - Part 1

• The official reason for Russian armed invasion of Ukraine is: to protect Russian speaking people living in Ukraine.

• That's ridiculous. The majority of these are not Russian citizens. They are Ukrainian citizens who can speak Russian. Some may be ethnic Russians who are Ukrainian citizens.

• This ridiculous reason implies that:
(for example) Germany can invade Switzerland on the pretext to "protect Swiss citizens who can speak German"
(for example) Malaysia can invade Singapore on the pretext to "protect Singaporean citizens who can speak Malay"
(for example) PRC can invade Singapore on the pretext to "protect Singaporean citizens who are ethnic Chinese & who can speak Mandarin"

When a bully wants to take over your country or a big part of your country by force, any ridiculous reason will do.

Some even manufacture/stage a fake show to create a reason. Hitler did that to invade Poland. Japan did that to invade China.

Lessons for other nations - Part 2

• USA, UK and Russia signed the Budapest Memorandum, guaranteeeing the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine in 1994, when it gave up its nuclear weapons (at that time Ukraine had the 3rd largest number of nuclear weapons in the world).

• Now all that USA can do in response to Russian armed invasion of Ukraine is "oh, I won't attend your G8 meeting in Sochi in June 2014".

• USA seems a weak and feckless power in 2014.

• Syria, Iran, North Korea, Iraq and Afghanistan have recently said NO to USA.

• USA seems unwilling to say what it means.

• USA seems unable to act on what it says.

• USA is incapable of protecting its allies from Russia. This has terrible lessons for Japan.

Lessons for other nations - Part 3

• Other countries are watching.

• Countries that have borders with Russia or that have territorial disputes with Russia are worried. Georgia was already a victim.

Norway
Finland
Estonia
Latvia
Lithuania
Poland
Belarus
Ukraine
Georgia
Azerbaijan
Kazakhstan
China
Mongolia
North Korea
Japan (water border) dispute with Russia over Sakhalin and Kuril islands
United States (water border)

• NATO countries that share border with Russia should build a missile defence shield fast.

• From now on, no country will give up its nuclear weapons. They learn from Ukraine's mistake.

• North Korea will realise that it was right all along to pursue nuclear weapons.

• Israel will worry that such a weak USA will no longer be able to protect it from a future nuclear Iran.

• Saudi Arabia will worry about a future nuclear Iran and a weak USA; and want to go nuclear too, although Saudi Arabia is technologically backward. But oil money can buy nuclear weapons.

• From now on, countries that are nuclear capable but do not yet have nuclear weapons will go all out to accelerate their efforts to go nuclear. Although they may not want to admit it publicly.

That includes Iran and especially Japan. An outlier is - Germany.
