It depends. For me:

- Portraits allow me to learn more about studio lighting, setup, poses and how to get the model in with the natural surrounding to get a good shot.

- Street Photography trains me in speed to capture the moment

- Landscape Photography with tripod allows me to learn, play around and explore more about other features like Bulb mode and stuff like dis.

I'm searching for reflectors and how to create homemade one when I found this thread. Anyway, my comment about street and portraits are that, street photography can be done on your own (which I prefer because sometimes I sit in a corner looking around and take my own sweet time to compose), while portraiture for beginners need peers (IMO). I wanna join portraitures to learn lightings and posing and reflectors and, heaven forbid, MUA if I have talent in that area.

haha...if u really into portraits its good to know about it....at my level now i know how to comment on makeup and wat kinds to use to blend in with themes...application i tink CMI la.....

Hairstyling is also good. Just a passing notion because my ex-gf too lazy to put makeup on that I actually bought a book about makeup. Book still with me... just need a TFP for makeup.. hee. Just kidding. Don't queue.
