Just out of curiousity...

Do you guys think that by just having a 5DMkII or 1DMkIII or 1DsMkIII or D3 your pictures would really improve that much?

Does the camera really make the difference?

What do you feel are the limitations of your current camera bodies?

I think my 400D has excellent high ISO performance for a entry-level DSLR. But I would love to have the higher iso capabilities of a 5DII =)

can i exchange my gears with a new cellphone..?

AF-S 18-200mm
SB-400 Nikon flash
Fisheye Lens

Not really. (5D owner here). But toys are nice to play with :) Though I have no interest in the 1-series. It will be a Mk2 - but no rush.

My top 5 gear list......
1. Top floor apartment at The Sail. Fireworks all year around. Superb city view. Dun need to fight with crowd. No need to sweat it out. Can sit on balcony with tripod and drink beer while waiting for fireworks. Sure can take a good shot one ;)
2. Beer
3. Beer
4. Beer
5. Beer

:p

Unfortunately ah, that one, even strike BOTH Toto and 4D, still money no enough, we have to settle for more modest bits and pieces.....

1. 200/2.0 IS L
2. 17mm TS-E
3. 5DMk2 (I need a FF 2nd body)
4. Maybe upgrade my EF-S 60 macro when I go completely FF.
5. Some TC's to go with the 200/2.0.

close but no apple for you! keke..Consumer P&S was the cam used.

There are some very nice colors in that image. I initially guessed high contrast slide film - Fuji Provia or Velvia comes to mind. Is it processed or straight-out-of-cam?

Not to start an argument, I agree that compact cameras can produce truly excellent images, but the 'big guns' prove their worth under difficult circumstances where the small cameras don't hold up as well. I use both - Panasonic FX38 when not carrying the big ones. (not even LX3 :p)

the financial ability to travel and shoot
the time to go out and shoot
good light to shine on my subjects
health to be able to go out and shoot
even the best equipment will be of no use if you don't go out and shoot

Time can be a truly scarce, non-renewable resource too.
