what are their differences and where can i get them?
THANKS PEOPLE!
May I humbly air my views for what you are looking for. Have been guiding students of photography for more than two decades with excellent success for their decisions.
1. You should buy second hand DSLR instead of a new one to save a couple of hundred dollars. Use the savings to purchase the most essential accessories like a good solid tripod, filters, electronic flash and grip.
2. You can only go towards this direction if you have an honest reliable experienced photographer or teacher to guide you when you are making the purchase.
3. Now coming to selecting either an entry level or mid level DSLR, you will rest assure that going for the mid level will be the right path.
4. No one will tell you that your photography knowledge will improve in a couple of months and by that time the entry level DSLR will not give you what you want. A mid level camera will definitely be able to meet your shooting requirements for a year or two maybe longer depending on your shooting skills and frequency of using the camera.
5. You must have done your research to choose the Nikon system and it is not necessary to pinpoint the details here, however depending on your choice and availability in the used market the D80, D90, and D200 will be your best bet. If you desire 5 frames per second, then go for D200 or the slightly slower D90. The D80 is the slowest with 3 fps.
6. Get yourself familiar with the different models by going to dpreview.com and you will be surprised to find plenty of used equipment at the Personal Classfied section of this forum.
