Many ways to 'water-proof' your camera, from DIY wrapping your camera in transparent plastic bag with opening for lens, to Optech Rainsleeve, to Think Tank Hydrophobia, to underwater camera housings. Just ask Prof Google

I being risking it for the past few years...find it cumbersome with the wrapping
So far so good...willing to risk it again
