hey! Thaipusam is a really interesting and colourful festival, so that may be something you should set out to achieve in your photos! Rather than taking photos that describe factually the event, (anyone can do that), you could set out to express the event~ like the 1st picture of the man piercing his tongue. You could look out for better framing to avoid placing uninteresting/distracting elements in the background that will likely take away attention from the subject matter. For me, I would love to see the vibrant colours and expressions of the people in Thaipusam~ Hope the input helps!

Thx deming86. I am in the beginning stage. Photograph no need to be a colorful as long as it tells some story.
