Dear all,

I've been on clubsnap for a while but never got to know about this! I recently stumbled on this while searching for Andrewine's photos which have been an amazing source of inspiration to purchase a DLSR system and shoot!

As such, I admit to being a total beginner at this and hope that through effort and practice, I can shoot better. I have also just began working on the rudiments of post processing using Olympus Master and Lightroom 2 and iPhoto 2009.

My current system consists of nothing but the Olympus E-30 and the 14-54mm MKII.

With that introduction done, I hope to hear both the opinions as well as objective feedbacks from everyone and as well as the four-thirds camp old-timers.

Thanks again to one and all for your time and effort to view and comments!! :)

The above ice kachang was made by a family of dessert makers who've been in business for 30 years in Johor at a small eatery near City Central! I'm unsure of the exact location, but at any rate, they make fantastic Chendol as well!

The Neighbourhood Tiger
This cat is always somewhere around the neighborhood. I see it pretty often. Today, it was lazing in the sun in its usual fierce tiger-like posture.
It is quick enough to evade capture.
Fierce enough to scare away anyone.
And...
Smart enough to take the lift up to my apartment.

ISO: 200
Shutter Speed: 1/50
Aperture: f/3.5
Focal Length: 54mm
Lens: 14-54mm f/2.8-3.5 MKII
Camera: E-30
Post Processing: Tint, Temperature, Exposure lift, Sharpening, and Masking.

I wasn't sure the focus was not where I would expect it. I would place it on a big smooth object in the foreground of the picture, say, the big corn. Was the focus on the straw instead?
What do u think? its just my opinion. Cheers. :)

Yups! the focus was on the big fat juicy corn... :)

Erm... I guess the straw was sticking out at an angle that's why it looked like the focus was on the straw?

Thanks bro! My poly internship started. Because of long work hours, I hardly have time to take photos and also for fear that my camera would be stolen; I work in the events sector as AV crew.

I hope to find time again to continue this thread of course. My precious camera is calling out to me for so long... =(

APAD2.jpg

Shot at Ngee Ann Polytechnic Kismis Field, Basketball court.
I was at a BBQ, the lenses I used were 11-22mm, 14-54mm MKII, 50-200mm.
On board flash.
The limitations of the Four-thirds was a challenge that made me shoot creatively in ways I never would. This was just one of the many shots I took with the 50-200mm. Sweet.
