Sunblitz slave flash help

hey all..

need your advise.. i just got a Sunblitz Ai829TW today.. my camera's a Fuji S5500..
i tried testing the flash in my room(i turned off the lights in my room)... its like no diff..

with or without the slave kit, it still looked the same..

i googled for reviews.. and all i found is 2 bad ones.. sigh.. did i just wasted my money?:dunno:
or anyone of you out there used the same model and know what settings must be done?

i'm a newbie with external flash.. hope you guys can help..

I do not have the fujifilm camera and Sunblitz slave flash but you can try

Flash Slave mode on
- Camera mode in Programmed AE, Aperture Priority AE or Shutter Priority AE
- Camera mode in Manual

Flash Slave mode off
- Camera mode in Programmed AE, Aperture Priority AE or Shutter Priority AE
- Camera mode in Manual
