Strontium 128G SDXC Nitro Plus over the last 3 Months

Dan passed this SDXC card to me a few months ago from Strontium
First off I must say I was surprised to realize that Strontium products are Made in Singapore.

Being a home-grown manufacturer, I was curious how their huge capacity 128GB card would hold up

I spoke to one of the engineers at Strontium and asked about the chances of the card failing (I'm always a cautious one spreading out my risk of data loss over 4 to 5 lower capacity cards)

He was confident that I would not have issues with data loss under the following coditions:
a. that I did not keep switching the card to use between multiple device categories .... (fair enough, ANY memory card used/shared among enough devices will suffer from corruption which I had painfully found out in the past with other brands of CF, SD, HCSD and SDXC cards)
b. that the recovery software was bullet-proof in its data retrieval abilities
c. that I did not use it as a Hard Drive

Over the last 3 months, I had been extremely busy travelling and shooting with this card which included

1. 9 Days in Germany shooting at Photokina
2. 10 days in S Korea shooting at Crossing Bridges II
3. 16 days in the UK, Switzerland and France in Nov/Dec
4. 3 days in Ho Chih Min City street-shooting
5. 6 days in Shanghai and Zhejiang
6. 2 days in HK and Shenzhen
7. 3 model shoots locally
8. other local outings and events

I shot mostly in Large and Medium JPEG most of the time and quite a few thousand exposures in Time Lapse, HD video and a couple of Gigs worth of 4K video as well. I did not shoot in RAW.

I used the card on mainly 4 cameras ; the Sony RX100 III, the Panasonic LX100, the Panasonic GH4 and the Olympus EM1

No Fault of Strontium ..... totally my laziness and bad.... NEVER EVER fill up a card of this size with all these different activities ....... it is VERY PAINFUL sorting out and backing up EVERYTHING.

Cards of this size and speed are targetted for 4K and folks who shoot large amounts and/or JPEG+RAW images

I must admit that I do not have scientific equipment to measure speeds but from personal experience over the last few months, there has never been any problems with buffering speeds
