Spider at my corridor

Today found a spider at my corridor wall, juz nice as a subject for me to try out and practice super macro shots.

Comments and critism pls.
Hope to improve my shoots, am still a newbie on this

The subject seems dark against a light background. Think that makes it difficult to see the details of the subject. I think you got the focus on the eyes right on though. Not that I am an expert, just my $0.02 cents worth of comment. Hope that is of help.

I too find mine pics lacking of detail too, will try to work harder on this next time.

Maybe try spot or center-weighted metering to avoid the subject becoming too dark when its against light background. (you can see that the camera is trying to turn your backgeound towards 'grey' and hence affected the contrast on the spider also)
