I have always been intrigued when I found out that there is a cemetery hidden amongst the tall HDB buildings in Commonwealth.
My impressions of cemetery has always been of creepy, cloudy and grey areas hidden away from civilisation.
When I realised I had 15 minutes before my appointment and I was near the area, I took the chance to bring my camera down to visit the location.

The 3000 (approximately) tombstones were laid out neatly, rows upon rows of similar looking tombstones, each engraved with the identification of the decesed and next-of-kins.
It was a peculiar sight, seeing a cemetery located just a stone throw away from the high rise residential buildings.
I wonder how the residents felt knowing that are sleeping right next to a cemetery.

As it seems, the residents there appear not too disturbed by the cemeteries. During my 15 minutes stay there, residents can be seen chatting, taking a shortcut or playing Chinese Chess right beside the cemetery.
I'm not sure how the night scene plays out, as I don't sight any light source around the cemetery, and I'll be looking forward for an opportunity to retake these scenes with a night environment.

One can easily find symmetrical patterns due to how consistent the layout is.
