Unfortunately, this is a case where there is no competition. If it is any family runs business, you can choose not to buy their product or buy their shares. This one you die die must use yet performance is below par.
They should have max cap for such organizations. It makes a mockery of those down the line working so hard and getting real peanuts.
Since he took over... there is alot more welfare and privileges than when the old lady boss was around... there was a rather big basic pay raise for all department... and the introduction of a monthly 'merits pay' if a worker doesn't fail in his/her work... also under his watch... Annual leaves has once again be allowed to be carried forwards to the following year (something the lady boss taken from us). We are also given 2 extra days of 'Elder Care' leave to take care of our elders (something we did not have... ever). And we also get another annual $200 flexible pay which we can use for our Vacation/Staycation, flights/bus/boat overseas, paying our own insurance, use for our childrens... etc. Again, nothing like these till D.K took over... and the thing I'm really happy with, for those on MSO medical plan... our annual for medicine has finally raise from a laughable 1990s level, that has remain unchange for 18yrs, till today, a more reasonable amount (not great) for the worker...
So... unless you work for SMRT (like me for the last 17+yrs)... you won't know how much has change for the better for those 'down the line working'... :think:
