So what is your take on this? Does it impact you? For me, CPF increase is good but it would better if not all goes into Medisave. And with the alcohol prices up, will it makes us more unhappy?!! (we are already quite unhappy in the ranking)
No matter how they packaged it, increasing CPF contributions = increased revenue.

I don't give a damn as long as not affecting my take-home pay.
Haiz... life is going to get harder for Singapore....no matter how much i earn, it will never be enough if the government keeps on raising this and raising that...

Don't drink, don't smoke, don't stay private housing and take public transport and you will have a net gain.

Whats the meaning of live if we follow what you said .. earn a modest salary and never enjoy life to the fullest. Work hard, spend less, give birth more and work harder to take care of kids.
Not by much... me no drink or smoke... and as I'm getting older (hitting the big 4 Zero)... more $$$$ in my Medisave would come in handy soon enough...
You may be surprised how/where it will impact you indirectly. With the CPF 1% increase in wages and additional for older wage group, who do you think the business will pass the costs to? Your local friendly kopitiam or eateries will need to increase the wages of its workers. I cannot imagine the chain effect (the same as increase the petrol prices).
Many years later, CPF money further and further away...... that's what I see.
....and don't stay in singapore. LOLDon't drink, don't smoke, don't stay private housing and take public transport and you will have a net gain.
