Just interested to know how soft or sharp this lens can get when used wide open at f2.8. Any one use before can comment, or better yet post some pics taken at f2.8? Thanks.

the nikon seems exceptionally bright compared to the rest. Its also interesting how the moon at f2.8 is bigger than the rest.

It is due to blooming (the moon was really bright) plus the coma of the lens wasn't corrected that well. Don't judge the exposures with these shots because the sun was setting really fast and the sky darkens very quickly. I shot with the 18-200 first which is why it appears brighter. Everything is shot on A mode with matrix metering.
