Shot using Lensbaby 2.0

Got my new lens today and took this shot straight away.

Think it is out of focus. Composition not too good too.
Just want to share my new investment with everyone.
Will definitely explore how to take better pictures with this manual lens.

P.S. - 2 thumbs up to sgdavid for the sale of the lens to me. (not sure if OK to give compliement to someone on this forum, but then again ...);p

I think it is a great shots...not the usual Macro Shot. I like the soft focus around it :thumbsup:

the whole picture is oof,i thought lenbaby should have a sweet spot?

lensbaby does have a sweet spot for sharpness.

the sweet spot is normally for enhancing the subject. but in this case contrasting smooth colour is the composition plus the lensbaby's lens characteristic of implied movement in the "blur" area on both sides of picture adds to the feel of the picture. some might disagree with me but this is what i felt about the picture. makes me just want to buy the lens. :bsmilie:

Nice shoot. You used the Lensbaby well. But what you should have done more is to put an object in the center of the shot where the sweet spot is. The space between the two flowers is a waste for the sweet spot. Just my 2 cents
