Hi bros,

Will be in Taiwan next week. Is there anything worth buying? Any tourist warranty like what we can get in HK?

Lastly, any recommended shops will be appreciated. Will be staying near Taipei main station.

Go this place called Bo Ai, whole stretch all camera n video shops, walking distance to MRT

Cameras are about the same price as our local shops but they have some nice camera straps, bags, etc which we can't find locally.

The main street is Bo Ai street, the smaller street where the shops are located is Hankou St sec 1 (look at the sign at the left in the below picture)

Ok if same price as SG then nothing much for me to venture then. ;)

No one has info on warranty? Able to convert to tourist warranty?

Sony cameras bought anywhere else other than airports do not have tourist warranty.

Maybe OT but in Taiwan gotta go to Wotancraft!

I going Taiwan next week too. Is the camera pricing there like Hong Kong?

I will be going on 12 dec...

Bro what is Wotancraft?

A camera bag store. Check their website.
Its quite nice i have one bag from them.
It looks very vintage (if u like vintage looks)

Prices there for camera bodies and lenses are not really cheaper than Singapore. If anything, I find the stuff either about the same or more expensive. Maybe I don't know how to bargain. :)

However, prices for accessories such as 3rd party batteries, camera cases, nice shoulder straps, ext mics, etc are much more varied and cheaper.
