any tip and tricks on how to get the best effect ?

try to shoot using a tripod (a must) and also set your camera to macro mode the rest will depend on the srounding lightings, etc etc it will all depend. Why not try to post a pic of what you have taken then from there we can tell you how to improve your shot, hope this help,
