Hi Shien,
Can I know more of this setup ?

Flash was off the camera's hotshoe, mounted on a flash bracket ..

look new to me. Is this specially for macro shoot? I only use a external flash but pointing upward when shooting. Is this set up correct?

Alan

nice! i like the last one most!

I viewed your camera set up as compare to my flash which mounted directly to my camera.
what will be the difference in lighting ?

Hi Alan,

from what i know, by placing the flash off the camera's hotshoe
the subject will "pop" out off the background in another words
the whole pictures will not be so flat..

i mignt be wrong about this, maybe some other Macro experts
can help out on this ..

Cheers

Great quality shots! All mounted on tripod right? :)

nice shots you have :). and... very interesting flash bracket too!! mind PM'ing me details of your flash bracket? thanks :)

Interesting setup you have......For my macro shooting, i normally do hand held as most of the time the subjects are in awkward positions or have to chase them around. Quite cumbersome to lag a tripod for me. Nice shots !
