Wasn't there this morning as my wife need to leave house by 9am and I need to take care of Jaden. So plan ahead and do Lorong Halus last Sunday with some of the usual suspect who can't make it today .

#Lorong Halus Peaceful morning ...

Good POV. I am not sure what to do with that body of water though. Need to try this out if I am ever going there again (after spending 2 Sats there).

I am surprise you went this week again . Nice photo as usual bro :)

I had to return Chee Leng Fuji S5Pro, and I got a wake up whatsapp fro SeeFei ... cannot disappoint. :p

Seriously, it was a better sunrise. True to Annie Griffiths' words ... when it's not planned, it usually turns out better.

Some macros before I called it a day.
Have a sore throat and still have to cycle back, so did not want to take the risk of dehydrating for being outside too long.

All done with my new toy the Q of course ;)

I think you single-handedly brought Q into the limelight! Another excellently executed. I didn't think it was that simple to get focus. And you've done really well here.

Great to learn from all in my 2nd Pentax outing, looking forward to more questions, answers on Clubsnap then get Demo, Hands On at Pentax Outing !

JK, Thanks for your 1st lesson in Extreme Macro with the Q.

See my shot of the same spider with Kr+Sigma APO 70-300 at 285mm(35mm equivalent) with no flash and crop crop crop, manual focus.
-Not so sharp

Philip, thanks for the sample photo.
Nice talking to you as well.
Yes, on an aps-c camera, it would be left with a very small 2-4mb file that would be harder to make bigger prints.
The details before and even perhaps 50-60% crop will still be better than just cropping from aps-c

Nice Nice Rays, may I know which wide angle ?

hi philip, this was taken w a tamron 10-24 i bought from my fren, think it was around 13-15mm:)

So, that means that in order for the APSC to get same resolution sharpness, the lens has to get very near to the model insect.
much closer than with the "Crop Engine Macro"

I showed Japan Pentax Ricoh Q video to my wife, she approved can buy.
Simply because of the video target lady customer, good idea came to mind is to make a Crop Engine Macro movie targeting new market segment.

Q Movie | DIGITAL SLR:pENTAX Q

If you want to get her to use, get the white version.

Just two from me. First Pentax outing with the K-01 and 12-24mm. Still very blur, blur with it, so pardon my less than perfect contribution.
Good to meet up with old friends.
