Hi

I got a 580nm filter recently. I fix the filter infront of my Zesis 35mm f2 and D300 lens. However I have not been able to set my WB. Everytime I get a "no Gd" feedback from the camera. I set ISO400, F4 Shutter 1/100 on a bright day. I point at a patch of grass or I point to the blue sky both also cannot custom my white balance.

Any advice, please.

Thank You
Regards
Alvin

point your lens at a foliage under same light, Keep lower your shutter speed till you get "Good".

The Nikon D300 would under most circumstances fail to get an in-camera white balance with a 580nm (590nm) --> 665nm. Shoot in RAW and fine-tune WB with NX 2, UFRaw, PS or Gimp.
