sorry guy...i dun know where to post this but i need to ask.
wat is the diff of the third party lens for G2 &the original lens from canon???
i saw this third party lens cost not more than $100 for 2
1 is tally lens the other is wide angle. both 2x one.
& the original one cost ard $300+ for both...
so shd i get the third party one???
as the guy tell me the diff is only he brans that all

Always get original if possible. You get what you pay for - the 3rd party lenses are quite crappy. The exception is the excellent Olympus B-300 1.7X teleconvertor.

Erick, understand your constrain. Come to the SEED and try out the diff lens get a feel of it then decide what to get. Bring your G2 to try. Can take a few shots of both original and compatible into your CF and compare at home to decide. No hurry unless you need it urgently.
Then can drink coffee and chat with Ckiang about the pro and cons about each lens.Er guys and gals, I'm afraid I couldn't make it for the coming SEED. I guess I'll join you people the next time round after Chinese new year, and see if i've got the money for a flash Unit.

when going on the seed, can you check the existence of the following products for me:
Hoya HMC 81A filter 77mm or B+W multicoated equivalent. CP says they only have single coated 81As...
Moose Warmtone circular polariser for 77mm.
