SB600 external flash seems stuck with manual zoom...

Hi all,

I can't seem to get my SB-600 flash out of manual zoom mode. From what I read in the manual, the power zoom function can automatically adjust the flash according to the camera's zoom. I would like to activate the power zoom mode. Would really appreciate advice. I tried holding down the "zoom" button but that didn't work. Could it be one of the custom settings?

P.S. the camera used is Nikon D80

14mm. Nothing happens when I press the zoom button.. Currently using a kit lens.

Argh, I really asked a very newbie qn.

To quote the manual:
"When using the wide-flash adapter, the zoom-head position is automatically set to 14mm and the power zoom function is deactivated."

So I put back the wide-flash adaptor and it's not stuck with manual zoom alr
