Guys, Tristan (DaXiong) and myself are helping out with this month's Outing.
This particular session we will visit Geylang Serai, the hunting ground of our Muslim community where they buy their produce, linen & snacks.

Date: Saturday 20 Aug 2011
Time: 1500hrs till 1800hrs
1800hrs - Chill Out (Location TBC) OR Night Street Shoot at Residential Town (TBC)

Photograph like deprived souls thereafter tuck into good Muslim food


As always, we welcome NON_RFer's.

Tips
Pack some fast film (if we shoot at night after 1800hrs) and travel light as it will be really crowded due to the weekend as well as they will break their Fast in the evening.

at 3pm, nothing much is happening. wont be many people etc. good for actual shopping, but might not have that many subjects to shoot.

plus most of the creative stallholders (the "characters") will only come out at night, around 8. so something for you guys to think about.

around 7-730pm, many will be eating, so again not much activity going in.

best timings is to start shooting at 8pm. have fun guys.

For the suggestion to photograph the Hungry Ghost Festival during the morning, I'd think that would even have lesser people to photograph unless we go to the temples.

I think we will stick to the original idea & timing.

Meet 3pm at Mc Donald. Drink there till 3:30pm (to wait for late comers)

Then we will meet up again at 6pm for drinks. Location not fix yet. Any suggestion?

According to my muslim friends, the crowd will start from 3pm plus..
For those who intend to shoot the lighting at magic hour or interesting character after 8pm, you may stay & continue
