maybe on framing or different point of views. colour and composition?

was trying to show a provoked red ant.
3. under what circumstance is the picture taken? (physical conditions/emotions)
was walking around changi boardwalk for sunset shots but decided to take macro instead as it was a cloudy evening.
Used f8 / 1/200s / iso 100 with a direct shot of my 580EXII flash.
4. what the critique seeker personally thinks of the picture
i personally think something is lacking in this picture although it somehow depicts what i intend to show.
