Recommendations

Hi everyone, I am thinking of getting a zoom lens but not very sure which to get… I am currently considering either the 75 – 300mm or the 55 – 250mm… Anyone has any good and bad points on thee two lenses besides the focal length? I am also considering a good external flash for a 450D which would be able to last me for a long time… Any recommendations?

Just between the two, I wouldn't buy the 75-300. Read the reviews and go try them out before making up your mind.
