Asking the manufacturer is no good.
Many airlines change the engines and have custom equipment (ie seats, seat pitch variations etc) that effect the overall weight of the aircraft. Instead you should just ring QANTAS OPS at Mascot and ask them the empty weight. Or if you're really bright just look it up on the Flight plan as its listed there along with the maximum expected take off weight, projected fuel load etc.
