QR plate surface

I seem to have lost the rubber surface on my quick release plate for the 329 Manfrotto head.

I understand from CP that there are no replacements for these kind of things, so I bought another plate, which I needed anyway.

So anyone has similar experiences? Anyone know of where and what I should get for the old plate so that I can use it again?

There are a number of options you can use to replace that missing rubber.

Neoprene sheet

Rubber sheet

Cork

leather

Ring around the local arts and crafts shops and look in your business phone directory for suppliers of neoprene gaskets as they may have exactly the material you're looking for.

Stick whatever you find on using a quality contact adhesive.
