The Zizula hylax pygmea or commonly known as pygmy grass blues are the smallest butterflies in Singapore and Malaysia. Very commonly mistaken for flies.
These little beauties measured approximately 5mm when I spotted them.
Males are light blue in colour as above and females are brown.
Edit: The one shown below is a Zizina otis lampa common name lesser grass blue. I had earlier thought that it was also a pygmy grass blue. Thanks to Macross for pointing out my mistake.
