Cons digger.
The Zizula hylax pygmea or commonly known as pygmy grass blues are the smallest butterflies in Singapore and Malaysia. Very commonly mistaken for flies.

These little beauties measured approximately 5mm when I spotted them.

Males are light blue in colour as above and females are brown.

Edit: The one shown below is a Zizina otis lampa common name lesser grass blue. I had earlier thought that it was also a pygmy grass blue. Thanks to Macross for pointing out my mistake.

Thanks for viewing. :D

Hi I love the 1st and 2nd photo.Well compost and good DOF.

Errr.... the third pic is a Lesser Grass Blue.

Scientific names are in italic and the first letter of the genus name is in uppercase. So it should be Zizula hylax pygmea; and for Lesser Grass Blue, it's Zizina otis lampa.

#1 gets my vote, nice clean background, good moment with it sticking out of the mimosa but I would have prefered to composed it in Portrait instead.

I like #1 too, nice
