Purchasing of Pentax stuffs online

Hi Guys,

Anyone bought pentax stuffs online before?
Risky or not huh?
Coz I gg to get K10D with Kit Lens plus Pentax DA50-200mm.
And also maybe battery grip for K10D as well.
Am comparing the prices from CP, OP, MSColor n from vpost onling shopping.
Seems like vpost online shopping is much more cheaper.
But is it risky to buy online, coz cant test if got prob no warranty as buy from US.

Hope the experts here can advise me...

its in New York Brooklyn however......very far from vpost oregon site and might take a long time with overland trucking....it doesnt seem to cater for UPS shipping too......add on $80 for air-freight..really need to consider although tempting

Make sure you're not buying from a scam artist. Where a deal is too good to be true, it usually is.

The deal that I saw online is collaboration from vpost and amazon.
I'm just worried that the equipments will be damaged during shipping if they didnt handle it wif due care.
Price well definitely tempting coz if buy online i can get the dual kit plus battery grip.
But if buy locally for the same price the most is get the dual kit only.

Should not have any problem unless you are really unlucky.

Maybe you can email VPOST and discuss with them.

I almost buy from VPOST for K100D and ask them to help me to claim for the Rebate but that time it had expired.

It is best to sort out with VPOST for the details so that at least there is black and white to support you.

Buyer beware! This company operates like a con artist. I placed an order which they call back to confirm this order. While they got me on the line, they high pressured me to buy other stuff. My mistake ( I know that now, too late)was agreed to the additional purchases. Adam quoted me the total price, but when I received the package, the invoice inside was charged $50.00 more than was quoted. I call and call and all I got was getting switched around to a dead phones(keeps ringing but one one answers phone). I'll never ever buy anything from this company or its affilates, never again. They won't email you the total price but give it just verbally. Thus, no evidence which my credit card company must have to dispute price charged. A total loss.

counter-terrorist, don't merely search online for the lowest price. Many pitfalls await if you go by this approach and don't do the appropriate checks of the merchant. That said, the vpost/amazon tie-up should be fine.

I got my K100D online for approximately $250 cheaper than locally (before OP set up shop), so for me it was a no-brainer. No problems encountered shipping. Plus international warranty.

You have to get local agent where camera was bought to provide int warranty. Go check Pentax US website.

My set was from down under. I just emailed the agent with proof of purchase and shortly later got my int warranty in the mail. Anyway I would have bought it even if it was a grey set because of the price. If you're concerned about warranty, buy local.

Juz worried that during shipping they didnt handle the items wif care only.
