Problem with my a700 vertical grip - battery not recognised

anyone hit the same problem before?

tried to swap the batteries, same problem. slot 1 ok. i have a feeling it might be the battery tray causing the problem..but ask here first just in case anyone got an opinion to share?

I noticed this happening to my A700 also, when the batt. pack runs flat, this warning sign would show up. Sometimes I have to remove the offending battery in order to continue shooting with the other one. Not done any systematic testing, so can't detect any pattern.

the only solution i knw of which work for me, i cleaned the contact point inside the camera's body not sure will it work for u or not.

My A200 VG also had the same issue, also battery no.2 not recognised. But taking the battery out and slotting back it solves it for me.

it does not happen to me till now. I bought this camera and grip over at HK.

Yah, but its a once in a blue moon issue. Haven't check out with the bros what is the main reason why this happens.

hi all, i tried to wipe the contacts of the grip and at camera side, now it's working fine again!!
