Problem with Metz 50 AF-1 flash

Hi ppl,
I am having a problem with this flash: It only fires the first time I turn it on.
Subsequent times after I pressed the shutter it won't work anymore, have to turn off and on the flash before it can fire again.
I have tried resetting both camera and flash settings but to no avail. (even recharging the batteries as well)
Hope any gurus here able to offer some advice. :thumbsup:

What type of batteries are you using? Are they new or old? Is the flash new or old?

When you say won't work, which mode are you shooting in? What camera model are you using? Have you updated the firmware of the flash?

The Metz flash has an updated firmware for use with the K30.
