Right now DPM Heng is in China with Singapore 4G leaders, visiting various people to introduce themselves.
Today DPM Heng met Wang Qi Shan.
Obviously LHL cannot say anything bad about China in this Forbes Forum at this critical time. Fortunately he did not.
It is a question that would have been anticipated by LHL when invited to such a forum.
Such loaded questions are tricky.
Say the wrong thing and you get condemned.
Say the right thing and surprise - you also get condemned.
By people who choose to twist the answer and skew it to match their interpretation - and then demand an apology from you.
There are people like that in this world.

The HK violent riots have attracted opportunists who latch on to it, to further their own secret agenda and ulterior motives.
For example Denise Ho who is a Canadian citizen and a faded CMI (cannot make it) singer.
She went to the United Nations to make a speech purporting to represent Hong Kong's 7 million people who are China citizens.
After misusing the HK violent riots to gain media Visibility, Denise Ho is now earning money giving concert in New York.
Then there is Ted Cruz a CMI politician (cannot make it to be US president) who want to gain media coverage for himself.
And Josh Hawley a young senator who also wants to media attention.
Back in US, no one gives two hoots about these two opportunists. They seek the lime light.
Sure what they said has implication. But has he not said the true?
Violent is not the rule of law. It is killing HK in all aspects.

HK belongs to China.

HK violent rioters thrash MTR stations, burn China related banks & shops, use iron bars to hit HK police and throw petrol bombs to set HK police constables on fire (with an intention to burn them to death). HK violent rioters have made threatening phone calls to HK shops and restaurants that unless the shops display notices supporting the anti-government violent riots, then they will attack/burn the shops.
On the streets, HK violent rioters beat up other Hong Kong people who do not agree with their anti-government stance.
This is done to instil fear and impose their dominance over the silent majority of HK population.
This is undisguised terrorism.
The world now despises HK violent rioters who have lost their legitimacy.
As long as there is no contagion to spark similar riots within main land China, Beijing will not take action. Simply watch and monitor.
HK is so minuscule in terms of land size and population compared to main land China, that whatever HK violent rioters do, it has no impact.
HK violent rioters have not awakened to the fact that China can basically ignore their childish tantrums,
Are the HK violent rioters really going to continue rioting every weekend from 2019 until 2047? That is 28 years.
Even CNN will get bored with reporting the meaningless HK violent riots. It has no news value.

To Beijing, it is only 1.7millions. HK can rot. HK will suffer and where can those protesters retreat to? Where can they go? They can consider going to EU than to UK and join the 39 members.

Another option will be Beijing can send one ship, pack the protesters, send them to US or ??? and the protesters can beg them to receive them as ????? They can continue to protest and with all the previliges they desire. Free air and free sea water and sleep in the street...

2. If you are overseas and u are in trouble, who would u approach US embassy or Chinese embassy?

Hong Kong situation attracts all kinds of unwholesome opportunists. Denise Ho (who is a citizen of Canada purporting at the UN to represent 7 million Hong Kong people who are citizens of China), Ted Cruz, Josh Hawley. And now this American pastor Dr. William Devlin.
