Photos too dark ?

Is it normal ?
It look okay on my camera lcd but when I transferred it to my pc, it looks dark.

photo is under-expose. use a longer shutter speed of a smaller F-stop.

Sorry I am a newbie.. can you explain what you mean by that ?
longer shutter speed means slower shutter speed ?? what is smaller F-stop ?
By the way I tried look it through the digicam lcd as well as connected to the tv and view the picture, it isn't so dark as the pic that I uploaded to my pc.
