Hi,

Anyone has experience of these so called photo montage programs? The idea of such programs is that one picture is actually created from multiple thumbnail images. When searching I found two such a programs:

Serif Montage Plus (http://www.serif.com/creativity/montageplus1) and ArcSoft PhotoMontage (http://www.arcsoft.com/products/photomontage).

I wonder if someone is using either of those programs? Or something similar?

Are those good ones?

I tried to find out also what is the maximum size of the output picture? Could you create big posters, like A1 or A0 size?

I think the arcsoft one is good (I think I used it once for tryout). The other I'm not so sure. I think one can also get some freeware that does something similar (can't remember which I used before). As for the maximum size to A1 or A0 shouldn't be a problem; I think your immediate concern is to provide enough photos to give better resolution to your bigger photo. Try to search for some freewares first for tryouts.

I had a project earlier this year where I needed to make a photomontage as the TS described and did a survey of the programs available at that time...I found that this shareware program called mazaika gave the best results...and they are prompt with email queries as well...go Boris, you rock!:)
