Outing: Catch Fire Works on 23rd July @ NDP 2005 Final Show.

There will be a fireworks display on the 23rd July (Sat) @ NDP 2005 Final
Show but a small scale show..
Decided to organize this outing for people were interested to go and take
some pics or practice before the Preview (30 Jul) & Actual (09 Aug) NDP 2005.!
It is open to suggestions on good places to go to take fireworks.
Currently I am thinking of Sheares Bridge.

Date: 23 July 05 (Sat)
Time: 5pm
Meeting Place: BK, Millenia Walk.


Things to Bring:

1.) Your Camera
2.) Tripod
3.) Remote shutter
4.) Fresh and spare batteries
5.) Torchlight
6.) Umbrella, raincoat or whatever to protect your camera and you if it rains........
7.) Enough SD cards.

The Fireworks should start around the ending of NDP 2005 Final Show.
Before the Fireworks, there will be flypast display too.

Flypast display time: from approximately 7.00pm to 7.20pm

Fireworks display time: from approximately 7.54pm to 8.10pm

I can't help you as I taking MRT..
Driving might be problem as lot of roads will be closed on that day..

I also never been to the bridge before.
Just go there try to find the stairs go up the bridge.

Fireworks will start around the NDP ending, so no confirm time, only approximately.
So got to standby the cam by 7.30pm.

i take note of the following, might or might not help.. only take as reference hor..

So got to standby the cam by 7.30pm.

based on last sat..

fly past app. 7.00-7.15
fireworks app 8.00-8.15

no exact..

take note there r 2 air display..
1st = chinook . F16
2nd = chinook, other planes

must be quick to catch the F16.. damn fast..or is my cam slow ??:think:

take note also for fireworks.. there r actually 2.. one is the usual, app few min, another is a very brief one.. less than 2 min..
