I am mighty jealous of the people working in NKF. Increments almost every month, resign come back then salary shoot up to 20k a month. What kind of world is this. I slog and every month I don't even get the peanuts. I don't feel like working anymore - damn demoralised man. NKF still hiring or not?!? I want a job there ...

if i ask for resignation..i don think my US boss will top up my pay increament so much in a year..damn man....!:thumbsd:

Just out of curiosity.

What are the kind of benefits for sitting in the executive committee? :dunno:

Else it would be hard to get those 'who's who and who' to sit around like lame ducks and relinquish the power to Durai.

Isn't it?

Was Dr. Andrew Chew the previous head of civil service on the previous list of advisers?
I am not sure, please check...
And for so long Mrs. Powerful was patron.
With such powerful backing who dares to question the creep in his heyday?
What watchdog to oversee the charity? Who dares to question?

Of course now powerful people distancing themselves from the creep.

Do you know how intimidating it was to others when he had Mrs. Powerful sit in courtroom to strongly support him? Even the judge will worry.

If, in Japan, you have the Empress supporting you likewise in courtroom battle, the other party (if they are Japanese) may immediately withdraw their case and concede defeat, out of respect for the Empress.

If, in Thailand, you have the Queen supporting you likewise in courtroom battle, the other party (if they are Thai) may immediately withdraw their case and concede defeat, out of respect for the Queen.

That is how some people get away with so much bad practices.

Like a favourite spoiled brat, he could do no wrong in the eyes of Mrs Powerful.

Until now, maybe.

(edit) But I believe she is innocent and her kindness was just exploited by person/s.

pls, is this statement factual?

pls read the court transcripts, and see how his case was completely demolished and shredded by davinder. intimidating to others? i think not!

I believe what ricohflex is saying is that the presence of who he refers to as "Mrs Powerful" has an intimidating effect on other parties, including the presiding judge.

This "move on" thing is not limited to use only by big shots, but also by normal people who wish to sweep matters under the carpet instead of engaging in discussion. Presumably because further discussion may embarrass or prejudice them.

some big shot will come into the fray and say, 'it's all in the past. let's move on!'

heh heh!

As long as I'm concerned, if the outcome of the verdict are of the following;
1. 'It's an Honest Mistake' for so-and-so ministery, person, Authority etc,
2. 'Lets move on', without a satisfactory answer,

I will never donate a single cent to any Charity in S'pore. I rather donate my hard earned $$ to SPCA.

2. 'Lets move on'

ahhh... that's the classic one-liner and we should all sweep it under the carpet and raise a toast to the heavens!

it's Christmas and let's MOVE ON! :bsmilie:

singapore has a damm whole bunch of stupid laws, why isn't there a single law to arrest durain for corruption or stealing? why isn't anything being confisicated from him? so what if there is one million pages of report? after this saga, he can still happily proceed to switzerland to retire.
